The process of extracting mustard oil from mustard seeds is referred to as such. The mechanical extraction procedure employed by oil processing machinery is the most economical and popular way to make mustard oil.

Oil press machines are the most economical and effective oil mill equipment for producing mustard oil (large scale type, small scale type and mini scale type). The recovered mustard oil can subsequently be refined and/or filtered to remove impurities.

Mustard Oil Drying

The sun is used to dry the mustard seeds. This step is crucial for getting rid of any water that can hurt the extraction process for oil.

Mustard Oil Cleaning

The dried mustard seeds are then cleaned, whereby all the dirt and foreign objects are removed from the mustard seeds to ensure the extracted oil is pure and of high quality.

Mustard Oil Heating

Then, oil pressing is started after the mustard seeds have been heated. The yield is increased by heating the seeds. The procedure also makes more protein available in the seed cake byproduct used to make animal feeds.

Mustard Oil Extraction

Upon entering the mustard oil press machine, well-prepared mustard seeds are quickly crushed and pressed for up to an hour or longer, depending on the quantity, to yield about 26% oil. To fully extract the oil from the seed cake, more pressing and crushing must be done.

Mustard Oil Purification

Before the oil is bottled and stored, the extracted oil must first be filtered to remove contaminants. The procedure of refining edible oil is advised if you wish to make premium or high-end mustard oil.
